5 Cities Meetup: Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu!

The first blockchain-based distributed cloud computing platform—iExec will open a Meetup in 5 chinese cities from April 1st to April 9th. It is exciting news for blockchain community fans. The iExec team will give more details about its project and ICO in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu. Come and join us this fantastic spring in China!

In 2016, iExec, the French startup, introduced iEx.ec at Devcon 2 and received worldwide attention. iExec is supported by Wanxiang Blockchain Lab and BlockGrant X as well.

iExec, short for “I Execute”, aims to provide a platform for blockchain-based distributed applications on a scalable, secure, and accessible ecosystem for computer resources (CPU, storage, etc.). iExec relies on a mature, solid, and open-source Desktop Grid software: XtremWeb-HEP. iExec is developing a new Proof-of-Contribution protocol, that will allow off-chain consensus. This represents a new paradigm of Cloud computing and iExec will mark the beginning of this new era!

iExec are working with the French startup Stimergy, that designs decentralised data-centers, and with eFast, that develops financial analysis products. At the moment, iExec are actively reaching out to DApps developers, again to demonstrate that iExec is well adapted to real world problems. iExec obtained significant funding from the French government to evaluate the feasibility and opportunity of transferring the Desktop Grid technology to a company. iExec has systematically interviewed many innovative startups in the field of biomedical and Health-IT research to understand exactly what their needs and requirements are when using the Cloud for performing research and innovation.

iExec is lead by well respected researchers Gilles Fedak Ph.D and Haiwu He Ph.D who have both worked at the highest levels of their specialisms in distributed computing, HPC and cloud systems design. The team has unique experience in designing and establishing real distributed computing infrastructures such as the European Desktop Grid Infrastructure, and supporting the most demanding scientific applications like the CERN. Furthermore, iExec team members have a long history of industrial partnerships with Airbus, Total, BNP Parisbas, Orange and many startups as well. From these experiences the team understands where the commercial opportunity lies, and what’s more important is that they know how to get there.

Come and meet the team building a new distributed future! Every participant will get 88 RLC (iExec Tokens) as a welcome present. The agenda of the Meetup will be as follows:
